The Liverpool FC International Academy – Michigan will be the first official partner club in the Midwest and will provide a unique and exclusive opportunity for youth soccer players in Michigan to learn to play The Liverpool Way.
“We are delighted to be growing our group of partner clubs in America following this announcement,” said Dan White, Head of International Academies at Liverpool FC. “We recognise the passion for football in Michigan and we are excited that many young players in the state will now get the opportunity to learn to play The Liverpool Way.”
“The number one attraction to this partnership is the authenticity of the relationship with Liverpool FC,” added Club Manager Andy Wagstaff.
The International Academy in Michigan joins five other US partners of Liverpool FC International Academy – America in Texas, California, South Carolina, and Florida.
“To have our coaching staff learn this unique Liverpool curriculum and then teach it to our talented pool of players will elevate the organisation to a new level,” said Director of Coaching Kevin Garner. “They will be learning directly from the Liverpool FC coaches with access to their proprietary curriculum and through training sessions and regular contact with the team in Liverpool. And our players will attend an exclusive soccer camp in Michigan every summer where coaches from Liverpool FC will come to instruct our players. You won’t find this experience at any other club in this region and I look forward to helping our players fulfil their potential on and off the pitch.”
